建筑环境学院
建筑环境学院 (Faculty of the Built Environment) 提供的学士课包括建筑学、建筑物建筑管理、风景建筑、工业设计、内部建筑和市镇规划等。学院提供的研究生硕士课程包括城市发展与设计、环境建设可持续性发展、建筑管理和房地产等。本学院坐落于Red Centre。它同时是澳大利亚最大的建筑学院。北京2008年奥运会游泳馆（又称“水立方”）的设计者，悉尼歌剧院内部翻修的总策划人，以及第一个获得普林兹克奖（被成为建筑学的“诺贝尔奖”）的澳大利亚人（格伦默科特）， 均出自该学院。
商学院
澳大利亚商学院，Australian School of Business(ASB），该学院是世界上最大的商学院之一，全院共约8000名学生，其中包括4500名本科生（undergraduate), 3500名研究生（postgraduate），以及250名博士生和攻读荣誉学士学位的学生。国际留学生约占总比例的30-40%。有全职教师及研究人员220人。学院在世界，尤其是亚太地区有着极高的声誉。学院开设有精算课程，为澳大利亚仅有的三所开设精算课程的高等学府（其余两所分别为墨尔本大学和麦觉理大学）。其会计系，银行及财务系，商业法律与税务系（与该校法律系相关联），市场营销系的教学水平受到广泛的赞誉。
2006年11月，澳大利亚管理研究生院（Australian Graduate school of Management，AGSM）与新南威尔士大学经济与商业学院合并且于次年重命名为澳大利亚商学院。
目前澳大利亚商学院的MBA排名为美国以外商学院第6；EMBA和MBA同为全国第1；国内综合排名实与墨尔本大学商学院难分轩轾。《金融时代》杂志（Financial Times）全球MBA排名：2007年49，2008年39，2009年32，2010年27。

工程学院
UNSW Centre for Photovoltaic Engineering currently holds the world record for single-crystalline silicon solar cell efficiency （24.7%). It is one of the leading solar cell research centres in the world with ongoing active research in the area of wafer-based solar cell technologies,thin film cell technologies and advanced third-generation cell concepts.
The Centre for Advanced Macromolecular Design is one of Australia's leading polymer institutes with research in all facets of macromolecular design and applications.
UNSW的工程学院 (Faculty of Engineering) 是全澳大利亚最大的工程学院，提供非常广泛的工程学课程。本学院共有10个学系：

法学院
法学院 (Faculty of Law) 成立于1971年3月1日，初时共有219名学生。当时在新南威尔士洲只有悉尼大学提供法律学位课程。UNSW法学院长期以来对社会公正（social justice）非常重视。世界上最大的免费法律信息提供网络就落户于此。法学院成立了多个法律资源中心：Kingsford Legal Centre、Australian Human Rights Centre、Gilbert+Tobin Centre for Public Law、Social Justice Project和National Pro Bono Resource Centre。新的法学院大楼内设有专门的法律图书馆，已于2006年开始起用。
今天，法学院已成为澳大利亚顶尖的法律学院之一。在过去的6年，5个UNSW的法律学生拿到了极具权威的Rhodes Scholarships。澳大利亚联邦宪法的修订，也由该校法学院的协助下完成。另外，法学院也包含了全澳大利亚最大的税务学校 (Atax）。近年来也开设了澳大利亚与中国税制的专题研究项目和相关课程。澳大利亚联邦宪法的制订与修改，联邦及州政府的法律咨询也多出自该学院。
医学院
医学院 (Faculty of Medicine) 成立于1960年7月。医学院共有9个系和诊所学校：

澳大利亚国防学院 (Australian Defence Force Academy) [ADFA] 提供军事和大学教育给新加入国防部门的人员。ADFA位于澳大利亚首都堪培拉市的市郊Campbel。国防学院共分为5个学系：
