What I love about being in a new place is it means there’s a whole lot to explore! Here are a few, quick tips to get started if you have yet to explore your new college neighborhood:

The best way to find about the cool places to hang out, eat, and party can be found out from the people you meet! I learned a lot from sophomores and juniors that I became friends with after joining various student groups. If you’re a little shy in asking the older crew, one person who’s there to help is your RA. I’m sure they would be more than happy to give you deets on their favorite/best things to do around town.
找到一个很棒的地方去玩、去吃饭、或是开派对的最好的方法莫过于从认识的朋友那里打探！我加入了各种学生社团后结识了很多学长并和他们成为了朋友，我也从大二、大三的学长那里学到了很多。如果你有点腼腆，不好意思去问学长，还有一个人可以帮你，就是助研。我很确定他们会很乐意帮助你，并告诉你在这里他们所喜爱的和最棒的事情。

Yelp, online blogs, etc. They’re great resources to help you find those awesome college student things to do around the neighborhood. Interested in art/history? Maybe there’s a really famous (or small) museum nearby campus! All about the outdoors? You might want to check out the hiking trail not too far from your dorm. Whatever your interests, the internet was a beautiful creation that gives you a guide on what to & what not to try.

As much as I appreciate people’s suggestions on things to do, I honestly love exploring and finding those things out on my own. It’s a little more fun and adventurous. Plus, there’s something special about accidentally finding that little, hole-in-the wall coffee shop on Wilbur Ave.
