Moving in to a new space is always exciting! It’s a blank slate and a fresh start, but the task of fitting all of your things in to a small space while still looking stylish can be a daunting task. Here are my top ten ways to decorate your dorm room, and maximize your space!
搬到一个新空间总是让人很兴奋！一张白板、一个崭新的开始，但是把所有东西塞进这个小小的空间与此同时还要有保持有品有型却是个令人生畏的棘手任务。十大方法助您装饰宿舍房间，最大化你的空间！
1. Look for easy places to decorate, that don’t take up a lot of room. The floors and the walls are perfect places to look to add décor without taking up valuable space. Area Rugs can make a space feel so much bigger and brighter, and they make cleaning so much easier.
1. 坚持简单装饰，不要占用太多空间。地板和墙壁是添加装饰绝佳的地方，而不会占用其他有价值的空间。小块地毯可以是整个空间看起来又大又明亮，而且清扫起来也轻松很多。
2. If you’re sharing a space, coordinate with your roommate. This can be an easy icebreaker if you don’t know the person you’re living with. You can coordinate colors and make sure you’re not doubling up on dorm room essentials, the room can only handle one futon, I promise.

3. Loft your bed. If you have the option, this will definitely be helpful. It only takes one quick call to maintenance before you move in, and you will have so much more space to work with. Lofted beds can add storage and high lofted beds can be great to make space for a futon or desk! (WARNING: do not try to loft your bed yourself.)

4. Pack the essentials and avoid the clutter. There is nothing that makes a small space look messy and unorganized than clutter. No matter how styled your space may be, you will only see clutter. Try making a checklist before you pack and stick to it!
