春假落幕,如何熬到期末?

Spring Break is over and it’s time to get back into the routine of papers and tests. Although this time of year can be exciting as we are getting closer to the end of the semester, it is not the time to slack off. Here are some tips for getting through the final stretch.

Recommit to School

After a long vacation, it is often difficult to get back into a classroom setting. However, now is the time to rededicate yourself to school. Take the fight to procrastination and focus your attention on trying to do well in your classes. If your grade in a class is a C, why not boost it to a B or better yet an A? Why not write a better paper than your last? As the semester is coming to an end, aim to improve your work and study habits.

经过长长的假期,通常同学们都比较难收心安分的坐回教室好好学习。即使如此,现在也是时候全身心再次献身学业了。战胜拖延症,专注于好好上课。如果你某科的成绩还是C,为什么不奋发奔个B甚至一鼓作气来个A?为何不写个比上次更好的论文?随着期末的来临,把目标锁定在提升学业和学习习惯上吧。

During this time of year, many students find themselves overwhelmed by the amount of work they need to complete. Instead of having a breakdown, reprioritize your tasks. You need to cut some activities out to focus on your project. Do the most important tasks first and you will have time of the rest.

许多学生在学期行至此时都会觉得需要完成的课业负担过重。但不要崩溃,取而代之则应优化任务的缓急轻重。推辞取消一些其他活动从而有时间关注你自己的项目。先做最重要的任务然后再有时间做其他的。

Keep Your Health a Priority

As students prepare for finals, they tend to put their health at risk by not sleeping, eating well, and doing what they can to stay up and pull that all-nighter. While it is important to do well in school, YOU are your number one priority. In the midst of papers, tests, and projects, remember to take care of yourself. If you are not well, you will not do well. Make sure that you are getting sleep and eating right.

当学生们备考期末时,总会不顾身体健康,不睡觉、吃得太好,甚至想法设法熬夜。然而,学业成功固然重要,但是“你”才是重中之重。在论文、测试和项目当中,记得好好照顾你自己。如果你健康出现问题,是没办好好好学习的。该睡觉就要睡觉,也要养成良好的饮食习惯。

With finals a few weeks away, it is natural for students to feel stressed. Be sure to not stress yourself to the point of burn out. There is no need to focus on every single detail of a particular subject. You cannot function when your mind is overloaded. Remember to pause and take a breather. Go for a walk, meditate or do anything that that will clear your mind. Remember to stay calm!

当期末再过几周就来临的时候,自然而然身为学生会感到压力山大。别让自己被压力压死。没必要那么关注每门课程上的每个小细节。当你脑子超负荷的时候是没办法正常思考的。适时喘口气歇一歇。出去散散步、冥想或是做些其他的事情可能会使你思路清晰。保持冷静!

Reward Yourself

犒劳自己

It’s okay to reward yourself when you have completed an important task. It motivates you to continue to do better. Finished that 15-page paper? Go get some ice cream or go on a shopping trip. This is not to be done all the time, but every once in a while treat yourself to something nice.

当你完成了一项重要的任务就奖励自己吧。这可以激励你继续更好的前行。写完了15页的论文?去买点冰激凌或是去逛逛商店。不是说每次都要这么犒劳自己,但是偶尔犒劳自己还是应该的。

Now that you have these tips, who is ready to take on the last half of the semester? Now is not the time to slack off and we must keep pushing until the end. Remember, that all of this hard work is worth it.
