Accuracy and Precision
还是有很大区别的呦~
Accuracy
测量值与实际值的接近程度。(how close a measured value is to the actual (true) value.)
Precision
多个被测物之间的差距。(how close the measured values are to each other.)
请看下图:
所以~你踢球的时候总是踢到球门柱，那么你就是High precision and Low accuracy!
How to Remember?
• aCcurate is Correct (两个C像牛眼~).
• pRecise is Repeating (总是重复击中同一点，但不一定是目标点~)
Bias (don't let precision fool you!)
在多次测量同一件事物的时候，得到的参数都是接近的，就会误以为这种precision是accuracy，这种情况就叫"Bias"。
Bias is a systematic (built-in) error which makes all measurements wrong by a certain amount.
Examples of Bias
• The scales read "1 kg" when there is nothing on them.
• You always measure your height wearing shoes with thick soles.
• A stopwatch that takes half a second to stop when clicked
In each case all measurements are wrong by the same amount. That is bias.
Degree of Accuracy
严格遵循测量标准的行为都是Accuracy，但是同样的测量物因为测量规则不同也会产生不同的测量结果。
Examples:
(Notice that the arrow points to the same spot, but the measured values are different!)
