Object of the Preposition
介词的宾语
You know that a noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
名词可以命名人、地点、事物或观点。
You also know that a preposition is a word that comes before one noun to show its relationship to another word in the phrase or clause.
介词在短语或分句中出现在名词之前，表明这一名词与另一个词之间的关系。
So, a noun can function as an object of the preposition.
因此，名词可以作介词的宾语。
The noun that comes after the preposition is called the object of the preposition.
出现在介词后的名词称为介词的宾语。
找出介词宾语：
1) Find the preposition.
1）找出介词
2) Then, put the preposition in the blank and ask "_____ who or what?"
2）然后，把介词放在空白处，思考"_____ who or what?"
介词的宾语的例句：
Our school is around the corner.
我们的学校在拐角处。
Marcus hid under the bed.
Marcus藏在床下。
Please give the paper to Marissa.
请把这份试卷给Marissa。
下面是一些介词短语和介词宾语的例子。
1) Jennifer sits beside me in class.
上课Jennifer坐在我旁边。(Beside who?) me
2) Morgan's house is across the street.
Morgan家在马路对面。(Across what?) street
3) The play will begin at 7:00.
比赛7:00开始。(At what?) 7:00
4) Lee cried during the movie.
Lee开电影的时候哭了。(During what?) movie
5) The grape rolled under the table.
葡萄掉到了桌子下面。(Under what?) table
6) I hid behind the tree.
我藏在树后。(Behind what?) tree
7) The phone is on the table.
电话在桌子上。(On what?) table
