process diagram 这种题型并不常见，但也是会考的。写作模式还是和task1 很像，还是分三部分：
1. Introduce the diagram
2. Give an overview of the main point/s
3. Give the detail
写作第一部分的各种题型都有自己的答题策略，今天我们就来先看一下在回答Process Diagram时的语言特点吧！
What is an IELTS Process Diagram?
先来看一道例题：

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The diagram illustrates the process that is used to manufacture bricks for the building industry. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words. |
看完这个图，我们不难发现，整个烧制的过程是按照时间顺序分为几个步骤，所以行文结构就应该从第一步开始，一步一步的写，把每一步都说清楚。
但不是每一道Process Diagram的题都像这道题一样将步骤描述的如此清楚。大部分流程图都需要仔细观察自己捋顺整个流程的先后顺序。而且同时发生两项步骤的情况也是经常存在的，所以千万要看仔细。
Introduce the Diagram
文章开始可以从题干入手，对于这道题，就可以将题干中的标红的部分用自己的话表达出来，试比较下面这句话和原题干中原句的区别。
The diagram explains the way in which bricks are made for the building industry.
The diagram illustrates the process that is used to manufacture bricks for the building industry.（题干）

就像你看到的，这段话，源自题干，又与题干有很大不同，这是开始一篇文章很好的方法。
Highlight the main points
总括纲领
在评分标准里是这样写的：想要得到六分或者更高的分数，就必须充分满足题意，做到这一点需要在文章中包含总诉的部分。
虽然这种流程题目，没有很明确的总括可以总结，但是还是需要写一下的大致情况，举个例子，那这道题而言：
the number of stages in the process and how it begins and ends:
Overall, there are eight stages in the process, beginning with the digging up of clay and culminating in delivery.
在介绍好总括的情况下就可以对图表的内容进行阐述了。文章的展开主要根据时间顺序和动作发生顺序。

流程图都是有各个活动组成的，每一个都和下一个有因果关系。所以用时间把各个部分串起来就水到渠成了。 那么来看一下刚刚这道题用时间为线索是怎样展开的吧！注意表达时间的连接词。

To begin, the clay used to make the bricks is dug up from the ground by a large digger. This clay is then placed onto a metal grid, which is used to break up the clay into smaller pieces. A roller assists in this process. Following this, sand and water are added to the clay, and this mixture is turned into bricks by either placing it into a mould or using a wire cutter. Next, these bricks are placed in an oven to dry for 24 – 48 hours. In the subsequent stage, the bricks go through a heating and cooling process. They are heated in a kiln at a moderate and then a high temperature (ranging from 200c to 1300c), followed by a cooling process in a chamber for 2 – 3 days. Finally, the bricks are packed and delivered to their destinations. |
The Passive
动作发生顺序
雅思作文中选哟描述清楚的是每一个阶段在做什么，而不是谁在做。所以应该用被动时态。
在复习一下被动事态的构成:
Subject + Verb + Object
(S) A large digger (V) digs up (O) the clay in the ground.
有的时候完全用被动是比较难做到的，因为有些词是没有被动式的比如 'to go'所以需要保持主动的形式。比如：
...the bricks go through a heating and cooling process.
那么这段文章换成被动语态应该是什么样的呢？动手写一下吧！
